Bell Jars

Something that I like to do alot of is vignettes and I love how versatile bell jars are in a vignette. There is just something about being able to change the feeling in my home with a little touch of the season. So I thought I would share with you a couple of photos from last Fall. The theme is one of my favs....a bunny, surrounded by the brilliant colors of Fall. The great thing about bell jars is that you can put almost anything under them, you are only limited by your imagination and it fitting under the jar! I came across talented blogger, Mary at Little Red House http://dearlittleredhouse.blogspot.com/, she had a lovely scene under a glass bell jar, her blog is worth a leisurely visit.

We had a lot of Barbies and her friends at our house when my daughter was a child. She kept them for many years. She finally decided she would probably never have a daughter to pass them on to so she gave them to a niece's girls. They were in great condition. I'm afraid they won't appreciate their value.
Thanks for visiting my blog.

Pat, thank you for visiting and your nice comment on my tablescapes (yours are beautiful too!), I have just started blogging and hopefully I will improve.

Cielo, thank you, the great thing about vignettes is that you really get to express your creativity in your home without spending too much, you just try to use what goodies you have.

deserae, thank you, I am glad you enjoyed your visit!

Hi Judith.
Hope your feeling well.
Have you ever done a table setting in a lavender ?

Hope you have a great weekend.

Hi Glenda,

I am feeling fine for the next few days, then on Tues, "treatment day" I won't feel so well for about 8 days, but right now I am taking advantage of the next few good days (helping a neighbor paint her laundry room, dining room and kitchen a lovely celery green.

No, I haven't done a lavender tablesetting (never have found lavender dishes), but, I have done table settings with lavender as a major color addition. For example, my Easter designed tables have had lavender in them due to the accessories I use to bring out that beautiful color.

Also, you could use simple white
dishes, and have your center piece, whether it be flowers, ceramics, etc. be heavy in the lavender and white color scheme, use lavender napkins, place mats, and such, and before you know it, you have a "lavender" table setting.

Judith,
you already know how much I enjoy the photos of your vignettes and beautiful tables. They are truly amazing. I dropped in to thank you for visiting my blog and your kind comment. That bunny was certainly an adventure for both of us and he'll always be treasured. I am so glad you started your own blog and I'll visit often since I consider you my decorating and table setting mentor. You are truly an inspiration.
Lots of hugs to you,
Tam

Hi!
Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting me!

I love cloche's too. Your's looks like a perfect size and shape. I have been looking for another one that looks like that. Mine is straight and I think the bell shape at the bottom, allows more design fun!

Thanks Penny,

I bought it at Marshalls a year or so ago when there were very available at the time, it is one of the biggest ones I had ever seen, so of course I had to buy it. LOL
