Bunny Time

Some of you have asked for ideas/tips designing table settings, one of the most versitile style of dishes to have is simply white (or cream). White can be mixed with any color and look good. And of course white on white is always stunning (or cream on cream, or even mixing white with cream).
In the photo below this one is the Bridal Tea Party. To change out the look, I just removed the "bridal ladies", slid the candles over in front of each diner, and added the white bunnies to the centerpiece with a few bunched silk flowers. Just a simple change, but gives a whole new feel to the tablesetting. So if any of you have white dishes, pull them out and play around with them, look for some interesting items that can be part of your centerpiece.
Something else that looks great with the white dishes is if you have some floral dishes. Use the white dish as the dinner plate and use the floral plates as the salad dish and bread dish, pull in the colors from the floral plate for your napkins and centerpiece idea. OR you can go vis-veras, and use the floral plate as the dinner plate and the white dishes as the accents.
I hope this helps, if you have more specific questins, I will try to help there too.

This is so simple and beautiful! Love the all white, I was thinking about you the other day and said to Victoria, "She must have some huge china hutchs to hold all of those dishes!!" Victoria said, "Sure wish she would show it all stored on her blog!" That would be so awesome to see all your dishes...Thanks for the lovely post, Donna Lynn

What an utterly beautiful and serene tablescape! I can practically hear a gurgling fountain and soft classical music playing in the background. Ahhh ...

You are so right about the white dishes being a "standard" to change things up. Years ago, my sister's MIL (who could afford ANYTHING she wanted) told my sister that she always bought a good set of white dishes because she could use them year round and for all sorts of occasions. Thanks for your wonderfully inspiring pictures and helpful ideas for those like myself who are not "gifted" in tablescapes.

Well you DID IT AGAIN! I just love all your pictures! This table setting is just awesome! I do love white/silver and cream together! What a great table setting! I love wisteria, willow or any plant that cascades downward like a waterfall, so your picture combines elements I love!
Great picture!

Donna lynn, and everyone, sorry so long in updating my blog. My personal lap top is in for repairs, so I have not been able to do much. I am typing this from my office/work computer, but I can only do this on a limited basis. So hang in there everyone, there will be new pictures when I get my laptop back! Thanks for being patient everyone.

Hello Judith,

I have come to your blog by way of Rosy Inspiration. She said that you had used Lady Carlyle in one of your tablesettings since I happen to also have Lady Carlyle pieces. What a wonderful job you did!!! I love all your tablesettings -- you are simply very artistically talented!
